Ceramic Braces

For a less noticeable, but equally effective, straightening method, we can use ceramic braces. These work in the same way as fixed metal braces but the tooth-coloured brackets and wires make the straightening process a lot less obvious.

We use Clarity™ ceramic brackets as their small size and colour means they blend into the background and provide unobtrusive support for inconspicuous wires.

The process

Just like conventional metal braces, brackets are fixed securely to the teeth using a strong dental adhesive. A wire is attached and shaped so your teeth eventually move to a new position.

Treatment usually takes between 18-24 months and, during this time, we will make adjustments to your brace to keep teeth heading in the right direction.

Following treatment, you will need to wear a retainer to make sure your teeth continue to stay lovely and straight.
