Adults

If you think that it is only children who can benefit from having straight teeth, then you’re mistaken! Adults too can access treatment to give you a fantastic smile!
You may have always looked at yourself in the mirror and wished that you could do something about your crooked teeth. Or perhaps you are finding that your teeth have started to drift following gum disease, or are just more crowded than you like.
With private consultations for adults you can have appointments to suit you and a wide range of treatments including tooth coloured ceramic brackets and nearly invisible clear aligners (Invisalign™). After an initial consultation your treatment can start almost immediately.
A great number of our adult patients take advantage of our interest free ‘pay as you go’ payment option to spread the cost over the duration of treatment. Depending on what treatment is involved, your monthly payment may be as low as only £99 a month.
Treatment durations typically vary between 9 and 24 months and depend on the type of treatment required. Your orthodontist will advise you at the outset, so you are fully aware of what is involved before you start.
Although administered through the practice, all private treatments are a direct contract between you and your orthodontist.

Ceramic brackets

Using 3M’s tooth-coloured high-performance Clarity™ ceramic brackets, you will barely see the braces on your teeth. Nearly all of our adult patients choose this method of treatment. These cosmetic braces are bonded straight onto your teeth and a wire is passed through them to move your teeth into the correct position.

With ceramic brackets you can be sure that when people are looking at you during your treatment, it will be your ever-more confident smile that captures their attention, not what is stuck on your teeth!

Invisalign

Invisalign® treatment uses a series of aligners that are custom-moulded to fit you. Your aligners are changed every two weeks so that your teeth are moved little by little until you have a beautiful smile.

Invisalign® offers these benefits:

• virtually invisible - most people won’t notice you’re in treatment
• comfortable – no metal wires or bands
• removable – for eating, brushing and flossing

Invisalign® is particularly good to treat relapse cases. You may have had orthodontic treatment as a child, but if you didn’t wear your retainers it may be that your teeth have relapsed a bit and are now not as straight as they were when you finished your treatment. If that is the case, then Invisalign may be good for you. Our orthodontists can advise you.

Invisalign® also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start, so you can see how straight your teeth will look when your treatment is complete.
